Privacy
Last updated: 31 October 2026
In short: you can read everything without an account. This site does not set cookies of its own, does not store anything in your browser, and does not show ads.
What the site collects
- No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for, so the site has no names, email addresses or passwords.
- Visit counts. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits: which pages are read and how often, from which countries, and which websites sent readers here. Cloudflare says this tool does not use cookies or local storage and does not "fingerprint" visitors. We only see totals, not individual people.
- The address of a map view. When you move around the map, the place you are looking at is written into the page address, so the Back button works. This stays in your own browser history.
Who else is involved
- Cloudflare delivers the site. Like any web host, it handles technical data such as your IP address to send you the pages and to protect the site from attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- GitHub: when you use Report a problem, you leave this site and write your report on GitHub, with your GitHub account. Reports are public. See GitHub's privacy statement.
- Other websites: topics link to their sources and to "Try it" pages on other websites. Those websites have their own privacy rules.
Changes
If the site adds accounts or anything that stores your data, this page will say so first, with the date it changed. The history of this page is public on GitHub.
